Location background

Union Street once a tea warehouse is a GradeA comprehensive refurbishment over 17,973 sq ft of commercial office space.  Maximising the potential of this iconic building and keeping a thoughtful design throughout.

Phi’s solution

The warehouse-style project called for a contemporary and discreet luminaire which would accentuate the clean lines of the ceiling, whilst reducing the visual aspect further.  The drivers were located remotely keeping in with the clean design to the ceiling.

To achieve this, Phi provided its Fenetre 2 suspended range utilising its’s clear transformative optic and a remote driver, able to be mounted in the risers and sited up to twenty-eight meters away from the luminaire.

The overall concept for this project balances direct and indirect illumination throughout the space achieving a light and airy space.

Colin Throp of CBS Design Consultants said: “That the criteria for Union Street were to provide services with minimal impact on the space and with Fenetre’s thin profile and small trim so this luminaire suited this project perfectly and look forward to working with Phi again”.
