The WWF’s Living Planet Centre has been named as the winner of the office and workplace lighting project of the year in the 2014 Lux Awards.
Working with environmental design consultants and building services engineers Atelier Ten, Phi supplied its contemporary, linear Stria fittings to light the office spaces and meeting rooms surrounding the building’s central atrium.
Phi’s fittings contributed to a total lighting load of only 5.5W/m2 which helped the Living Planet Centre to meet its key target of BREEAM Outstanding certification in May 2014.
The 2014 Lux Awards were presented at London’s Troxy on November 20. Judges commented that the commitment to sustainability that lay behind this lighting project should serve as a model for others.
