Further awards success for WWF headquarters

The WWF’s Living Planet Centre, which features Phi’s light fittings, has won two awards from the British Council of Offices (BCO).

At the BCO’s regional ceremony for London and the South East, the building won the categories for the best corporate workplace and innovation.

The Living Planet Centre, which is built on a concrete platform above a municipal car park in Woking, has previously won the office and workplace project of the year at the 2014 Lux Awards.

Phi’s Stria fittings were chosen to light the office spaces and meeting rooms surrounding the central atrium of the building with the high-output direct/indirect light source used in pairs of 2.8-metre lengths to provide optimum lighting levels.

Phi’s fittings contributed to a total lighting load of only 5.5W/m2 which helped the Living Planet Centre to meet its key target of BREEAM Outstanding certification in May 2014.
